Irina Smitchkova is an international artist, born in the Soviet Union and now living in the United States. Her first degrees were in psychology and these have had a huge impact on her art. Later in life, she finished the Andryaka School of Fine Arts, graduating with honors.

Since the day I can remember, art has been my favorite means of self expression. Utilizing traditional materials, I wish to amaze the onlooker with the beauty surrounding our everyday life, as all that is essential is close to us. I find my inspiration through the simpler pleasures of life, through communicating with people and nature. I hope each of my works helps the viewer feel better and more at ease, by gifting warmth and a moment to stop and think:
